Research Software Engineer in Computer Integrated Surgery

A Research Software Engineer position is available in application software development for medical robotics and computer integrated surgery systems. The primary focus will be on the design, implementation, experimental validation, and clinical inauguration of novel systems that enable needle placement procedures inside imaging scanners (MRI, CT, C-arm, and ultrasound).
The software engineer will have excellent collaborative opportunities with a diverse group of multidisciplinary researchers from medical robotics, medical imaging, image processing, computational mechanics, image modeling, and analysis; as well as with a diverse of pool of clinical collaborators. Primary research interactions will take place within the Center for Computer Integrated Surgery (www.cisst.org).
